Whether it is shopping for your gown or browsing through our collection, we want you to feel as special as the gown you select. We’ve put together a few pointers for making the most out of your appointment with us.

Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes. The bridal salon works by appointment so that we can fuss over you as much as we want! (Click here to make an appointment)

Q: How long is my appointment?
A: We schedule one hour for your bridal appointment, we have found that this is the perfect amount of time to browse the collection and choose your favorites to try.

Q: When should I begin dress shopping?
A: We suggest that you begin shopping for your dress 6-9 months before your big day. While some designers will accommodate tight deadlines, we find it’s best to play it safe.

Q: What’s a trunk show?
A: Finery carries an edited selection of each designers collection, but trunk shows give our brides the chance to view the full collection-oftentimes with a discount. These shows typically only last 1-3 days and tend to book up quickly. If you are interested in a specific designer we urge you to make an appointment for their show. Check our calendar for updates!

Q: What should I bring?
A: Inspiration dress photographs are welcomed. In addition, it’s helpful to bring proper foundations and a fabulous pair of shoes to your appointment. You want to envision yourself on the day and the right foundations play a key role.

Q: Who should I bring?
A: There are times when the “more the merrier” doesn’t reign true. We found that 1-3 close guests whose opinions you value most is a manageable size for you to be able to express your vision and style. It is an intimate moment so we recommend keeping things small and sweet. If you wish to bring more, please keep it to a 5 person max as our boutique space is limited.

Q: What are fittings?
A: We will take your measurements and order your dress as close to your current size as possible. Keep in mind, almost every gown will need a few tweaks and alterations for that perfect fit.

Q: Do you provide in-house alterations?
A: We do not provide in-house alterations, but we have two fabulous tailors we recommend to all of our brides. We don’t have any required alterations packages, this way you only pay for what you need to have tailored for your gown to fit like a dream…without having to call Mammy in to tighten your corset.

*As a boutique shop, we look forward to bringing everyone who crosses our threshold a wonderful experience, so please NO food, drink or dogs allowed. In addition, due to the nature of the boutique and because we have heavy mirrors and dress clamps we urge finding a sitter for the “little ones”. We understand that there may be unavoidable circumstances so if you have special requests, please give us a ring and we will do our best to find a time to cater to your needs.
